Happy Birthday

Today is dad's birthday.  Here's wishing him a happy pain free day and many happy years to come.  We love you dad and are all thinking about you!

Dad has been feeling a bit better these past couple of days.  Some of his color is coming back and he is even moving around a bit more.  He did attend sacrament meeting on Sunday and another one of his meetings but it was almost all he could handle.  His energy levels are pretty low and he tends to get very nauseous if he tries to do too much.  Dad went through more testing yesterday to make sure that his body is able to handle the first transplant.  He will meet with his doctor tomorrow and if things look good he will more than likely start the first transplant process on Friday.  He will begin the process with a day of intense chemo, two days off and then another day of intense chemo and then the transplant the following day.  The effects of the chemo and transplant will hit him about five days after the transplant.  He has definitely had his ups and downs lately and we sure appreciate all of the support and prayers that have been sent this way.  Thank you to all!  If anyone would like a slice of dad's favorite cake we will be dishing up around 7:30p.m. tonight.
