Well, dad is doing better and better each day. After meeting with the doctor on Friday they will be proceeding with the next scheduled transplant in the middle of May. We were all thinking that it would happen the first of June but the doctor does not want to postpone it anymore. Dad really does enjoy visitors, if you are well. Being around friends and family cheers him up. His energy levels are quite low so visits longer than an hour are hard on him.
And now if going through all this was not enough, yesterday while mom and dad were at church a pipe burst in their bathroom and blew the toilet lid off. By the time they got home the house was flooded. Thank goodness for great neighbors who came to the rescue quickly. Mom sent dad to bed then had to call Jason and Robert out of church. Not long after Jason and Robert got there, members of the ward showed up to help. Things are under control but repairs will have to be made. Thank you to all those who were so quick to respond to a neighbor in need.
oh my gosh!!!!! Enough is enough!!!!! I am sorry to hear about your flooding. That sure sounds like it would be the last straw!!! But, it is good news to hear that things are looking up with Doug!!!! Good doctors are such a comfort I think. I'm sorry that you have to have more of this in the near future, but our prayers and love are still with you. We love you all.
