Last Month
Sorry there have not been many posts lately. Dad has pretty much been doing the same until the beginning of November. He caught a cold and came down with pneumonia pretty fast. He ended up in the hospital the week before Thanksgiving. He was there about five days and then was well enough to come home. He still needs oxygen sometimes but is over the pneumonia. Just after Thanksgiving he felt like he had pulled a muscle in his behind and then the pain progressively got worse. Back up to the clinic where they discovered that yes he had torn some tendons because of one of his injections and also he had blood clot that was pinching his siatic nerve. The blood clot was broken up and drained to help relieve some of his pain but he has suffered some nerve damage to his foot and will have to go through physical therapy. It just seems that if it is not one thing for him it is another. He was able to have one week off of his chemo treatments but is back on his every other week cycle now.
