Mom and Dad asked us to let everyone know that they welcome visitors. They ask that if you are sick or think you might be getting sick to be cautious. They do have masks and hand sanitizer for anyone who visits. Please make sure you wash your hands even if you are not sick and use the hand sanitizer. They love everyone and love to see you! There will be times when his blood count will be too low to have visitors, when that happens they will put a note on the front door of the house letting everyone know not to visit at that time. Chemo has been going ok, I guess as good as chemo can go. He is pretty chipper right now and has a very positive attitude. They received the official prognosis from Doctor Tricot recently and if anyone would like to read it, just ask. We know that everyone wants to know what his chances are. According to the prognosis, with doing the double stem cell transplant, a 10 year survival rate is in excess of 50%, with 30% of the patients still in remission after 10 years. Those are very good odds, but we do have to get through both of the transplants. Please keep him in your prayers.
Hey guys! I have been thinking about you a lot. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Cancer really does suck but we believe that uncle Doug can beat it! Tell him that I love him and will come visit him sometime.
