Dad got home from the hospital this week and was very happy to be home to be able to be around his grand kids again. He is not doing as well as we hoped, but the nurse said that his labs have come back clean (meaning that his infections are gone ) and everything he is going through is normal. He has no appetite and is still feeling queasy and is feeling very down. After all he has been through I guess we can't expect much more than this. From this point it is a little bit of a waiting game to see if his cancer numbers have gone into remission. If so, then he will have an entire year of feeling just OK because he will have what they call Maintenance Chemo. I think at this point we all wish that there was something more we could do to ease his burden. Thank you all for all you have done for us! Here is a picture we took in between treatments when he was feeling well enough to get outside. He enjoys launching rockets out at his Sod Farm so we spent a day out there with him with a bunch of rockets and had a very enjoyable day.
This is TEAM GRANDPA
I know it was a little bit ago, but it's nice to see Uncle Doug acting like himself.
